Nederland ISD recognized as national Capturing Kids Hearts showcase district

District and program representatives recognized campus work under the Capturing Kids Hearts framework at the May 18 meeting.
Johnny Lathrop congratulated campus principals and district staff and noted the district’s national standing: "Nederland ISD has 7 of 980 showcase schools nationwide. Nederland ISD is one of only 85 National Showcase District’s in the nation." Dr. Steven Beagle presented awards to each campus principal.
Board members marked the recognition during the Superintendent’s report and thanked staff involved in implementation and training.
