Pine Tree ISD financial report shows nearly $98K in tax refunds, purchase over $50K

At its April 14 meeting the Pine Tree ISD Board reviewed and approved the district’s monthly financial report, which detailed tax refunds, supplements and notable purchases.
District financial presenter Juana Campos reported tax refunds over $500 totaling $97,792.06, current-year tax roll supplements of $10,460.16, prior-year supplements of $1,079.54, current-year deletions of $73,192.33 and prior-year deletions of $25,449.12. Campos also identified purchases over $50,000, including a $51,500 transaction with Air Cybernetics, and reported donations of $350 in cash and $862 in-kind.
She told the board that the Texas Education Agency has changed the allowable Child Nutrition fund balance from three months of operating expenses to six months, a shift the transcript records as easing the district's ability to meet the requirement. Trustee Melanie Roudkovski moved to approve the financial report and the motion passed 4-0.
