At the Feb. 9 meeting Assistant Superintendent Alicia Bonnett presented the district’s 2024–25 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), highlighting STAAR performance across grades and subjects, graduation rate, and College, Career and Military Readiness measures. Bonnett pointed to areas of continued focus and described targeted interventions already in place to support student growth.
Superintendent Dr. Shannon Fuller also proposed adding 10 minutes to the beginning of the instructional day to accommodate four‑day weeks in the second semester of the 2026–27 school year. "Dr. Fuller discussed adding 10 minutes to the beginning of the instructional day to allow for the four-day weeks in the second semester of the 2026-2027 school year," the minutes state. Dr. Fuller reported enrollment of 1,754 students as of Feb. 5, 2026, and reminded the public about trustee filing deadlines and the Pilot Point Educational Foundation Gala on Feb. 21 at the UNT Gateway Center.
The TAPR was offered as a public hearing item for board review; trustees received the report and no formal action was recorded on the TAPR item during open session.
