Pilot Point ISD approves AlphaBest contract for after‑school care in 2026–27

The Pilot Point Independent School District Board on Feb. 9 approved a contract with AlphaBest for after‑school care and care on selected non‑school Fridays for Pre‑K through 5th‑grade families beginning in the 2026–27 school year.
Assistant Superintendent Alicia Bonnett told trustees the program would be separate from the employee daycare, run at no cost to the district, and that family fees would be set on a sliding scale based on household income. "Establishing a contract early would allow AlphaBest adequate time to apply for and secure all required childcare licenses on behalf of PPISD," Bonnett said. Trustees approved the contract 6–0 on a motion by Craig Bickers with a second from Jacob Stuckly.
Bonnett cited neighboring districts’ successful partnerships with AlphaBest and positive feedback on service quality. The district will work with AlphaBest to secure licenses and determine family-fee schedules; no operational or budgetary obligations to the district were recorded in the minutes.
