The meeting opened with recognition of student accomplishments across athletics, academics and fine arts. Athletic Director Orlando Garcia highlighted the PSJA North Raiders’ district success, describing an undefeated district campaign and a program "built on hard work, accountability and brotherhood." Advanced Academics and Fine Arts leaders celebrated UIL State Congress qualifiers, two campuses earning AP Gold-level honor roll distinctions, and a record number of All-State musicians representing the district.
On instructional opportunities, trustees unanimously approved two travel requests: 15 PSJA North Raiderettes and two sponsors to attend a national dance competition in New York City (March 5–9, 2026) that includes master classes and a Broadway performance; and 24 students and two staff from PSJA Early College High School to attend a July 5–15, 2026 educational program in Salamanca, Spain focusing on immersive language and university exposure. Trustees noted cancelation flexibility if international conditions change.
