The Paradise ISD Board voted to approve an access agreement with the owner of the property adjacent to the baseball parking lot that provides mutual benefits: the neighbor receives access to use the district parking lot and road access as an entrance to their property, while the district gains access to batting cages on the adjacent property. The agreement includes a clause that it will be void if property ownership changes.
The motion to approve was made by Renea Remmele and seconded by Phil Erickson. The minutes record the result as carried with four votes in favor and one abstention (Landon Smith). The board did not record any changes to indemnification or long-term maintenance responsibilities in the minutes.
