Board holds executive session on superintendent evaluation; returns and affirms compliance with agenda

The Burlington Public Schools Board convened an executive session at 8:02 p.m. on June 24 to discuss the ongoing evaluation of Superintendent Gerrett Spears under 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(1). The motion to convene the executive session passed 5–0.
The board returned to open session at 8:55 p.m. and Board President Lindsey Callison announced, "In executive session we only discussed the items listed on the agenda. Nothing else was discussed and no votes were taken." Following the executive session the board discussed preliminary test scores (not finalized) and said they were generally pleased; Superintendent Spears stated, "We're happy with what has been seen."
