Poth ISD and Superintendent Dr. Albert Lee Byrom recognized two teachers as the district’s Teachers of the Year during the May 18 board meeting. Santana Montez of the Floresville Masonic Lodge presented the awards, naming Lisa West as Elementary Teacher of the Year and Margaret Hoover as Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Byrom thanked the Floresville Masonic Lodge for its positive contributions to Poth ISD and thanked the teachers for their service. The recognition took place early in the meeting as an informational and ceremonial item; no board action was required.
