Joel Page told the board: "There, is some under slab, contaminants which will be addressed through a sort of, like, a radon mitigation system that will be put interior to the building." The applicant and consultants emphasized the exceedance was limited to an interior corner and that remediation outside the building would be minimal — mostly cleanup of urban fill, removal of concrete detritus, and planting. The board asked for clarification on whether additional geotextile or landscape‑level remediation would be required outside the building and requested documentation of the Phase II conclusions when the applicant returns.
