The Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a recommendation to support the Florida Repertory Theater with a storm-mitigation grant capped at $100,000. The recording secretary read the recommendation and a motion to approve was made, seconded and adopted by voice vote.
Michelle Hilton Terry, who introduced the storm mitigation program earlier in the meeting, told commissioners the program covers pre- and post-storm measures including barriers, hurricane-resistant windows and doors and equipment such as sump pumps and backflow preventers. The board took the vote after confirming the recommendation as printed; Chair Eady called for a voice vote and the motion passed without opposition.
