Panhandle ISD reports enrollment of 583 students, down 43 from prior year

Blair Brown presented the district report on Oct. 21 and reported that, "As of October 15, there were 583 total students enrolled in Panhandle’s school system. This represents forty-three less students than on the 2024-2025 snapshot day."
Brown provided a grade-level breakdown: Elementary 265 students, Junior High 135 students and High School 183 students. The board reviewed monthly financial reports, activity accounts and the bond report alongside the enrollment snapshot and identified future agenda items and upcoming meeting dates.
Board members did not record follow-up actions tied to remedying the decline in the meeting minutes; the record notes the next regular meetings scheduled for Nov. 19 and Dec. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
