District details construction progress at PHS and Pampa Elementary; HVAC, roof and elevator work ongoing

Troy McClendon, Pampa ISD's Director of Operations, updated the board on multiple construction and facilities projects across the district. He presented progress images for the new CTE/Fine Arts building at Pampa High School and reported schedules for HVAC, roof, elevator modernization and site work at Pampa Elementary.
McClendon said Scottco has begun preparation work for the administration HVAC system in advance of installation expected in late July and that the district's new addition at PHS should be dried in within six to eight weeks. He also said the PHS roof work is expected to finish early to mid-July and the modernized elevator at PHS should be ready by next school year. For Pampa Elementary, slab work and delivery of steel are scheduled with parking lots to be poured in concrete rather than asphalt.
The board heard that the district hopes to issue bids next month for a district-wide energy management system and aims to have a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) ready by the June meeting. Staff will return with bid results and timelines as projects proceed.
