Pampa ISD approves meal price increases to bring breakfast to $2.00

Kelley Porter explained the recommendation, stating, "To break even we need to be at $2.00." The board adopted the larger-than-typical increase after discussing the cost of breakfast and lunch programs. Trustees also approved increases of $0.40 for elementary lunches and $0.15 for secondary lunches.
The increases will be implemented for the coming school year; staff said they will continue outreach to encourage eligible families to apply for free or reduced-price meals and monitor program finances.
