The South Burlington City Council re‑elected its existing leadership slate at a special reorganization meeting on March 5, approving Councilor Barrett as chair, Councilor Chelmick as vice chair and Councilor Fitzgerald as clerk. The motion to keep the current three officers "as a slate" was made from the floor, seconded by Andrew and carried by a unanimous voice vote.
City Manager Jesse Baker announced the result and handed the meeting over to the newly seated chair. The council immediately moved on to routine organizational business, including adoption of meeting rules, designation of the official paper of record and the city’s official depository. Chair Tim presided for the remainder of the session.
