Orange Grove honors students who qualified for state competitions

The board opened the May 18 meeting with recognition of students who qualified for state-level competitions. FFA advisors Beverly Schroedter, Amanda Nattrass and Loren Tabor introduced FFA state competitors and highlighted their accomplishments. Coaches Virginia Parsons, Ruben Acuna and Jackie Spitzer introduced the district’s state track and tennis competitors and spoke about their achievements.
Board members and administrators acknowledged the students’ successes during the meeting’s opening remarks. No board action was associated with the recognitions; they were presented as a ceremonial item to honor student achievement.
