At the Nov. 20 meeting the Mokena School District 159 board approved multiple consent and action items covering minutes, bills, personnel and operational purchases. Motions included approval of prior minutes, monthly bills, personnel recommendations (including a classified resignation and certified DRO assignments), and consent items such as disposal of material and playscape pieces. Personnel motions were moved by Mr. Jim Andresen and seconded by Mrs. Julie Oost and recorded as approved 7–0–0.
Financial and operations actions included approval of field trip stipends, the annual statement of affairs and contracts over $25,000, winter painting projects in an amount not to exceed $20,000, and the purchase of Scale virtual machine hardware from SHI in an amount not to exceed $50,008. Chief School Business Official Dr. Teri Shaw reported food-service activity for October: "8,323 lunches were served in October; the District will receive $15,775.82 from the Government; revenue for all items sold was $31,910.50." These items were approved by roll call votes recorded in the minutes.
