Pewitt CISD trustees elect officers, set committee rosters

After an executive session, the Pewitt CISD Board of Trustees elected Keith West as president, Seth Hodges as vice president and Justin Green as secretary, and approved membership for facility, finance and policy committees.
The Pewitt CISD Board of Trustees reconvened in open session at 7:33 p.m. May 18 and elected board officers and reorganized committee assignments.
Trustee Seth Hodges nominated Keith West for board president; the board recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes. Mark McCoy was nominated as vice president and Justin Green was nominated as board secretary; both slates were approved with recorded 'Aye' votes. The board also approved standing committee membership: Facility Committee (Seth Hodges, Justin Green, Keith West); Finance Committee (Ryan Bailey, Karen Andrews, Keith West); and Policy Committee (Mark McCoy, Holly Tucker, Keith West).
Board members conducted nominations from the dais; votes were recorded verbally as 'Aye' for each motion. The officer elections and committee assignments follow the board's annual reorganization procedure after trustees were sworn in earlier in the meeting.
The reorganization sets the leadership and committee structure that will guide the district through the 2026–27 fiscal year and forthcoming agenda items.
