Council approves HOME and HOME-ARP awards for TBRA, homelessness prevention and Habitat construction

Under the HOME program, staff recommended $390,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Horry County to fund construction of six new owner-occupied units at $65,000 each, and $400,000 to ECHO for tenant-based rental assistance estimated to benefit approximately 50 households.
Staff noted the HOME/HOME-ARP funds were originally part of HUD entitlement funding and that a three-county review panel evaluated proposals. Council voted to approve the recommended awards.
