The Faribault County Board on July 21 authorized Sheriff Scott Adams to execute a Memorandum of Understanding to house out-of-state prisoners from Polk County, consistent with county prisoner housing policies and pursuant to Minn. Stat. 641.035. Commissioners Greg Young and Gertrude Paschke moved and seconded the authorization, and the minutes record the motion as carried unanimously.
The minutes do not include the MOU's financial terms, daily per-prisoner rates, or the expected number and duration of prisoners to be housed. The board noted that the authorization is consistent with prisoner housing policies used by neighboring counties, and delegated signature authority to Sheriff Adams to execute the memorandum.
