ARPA balance declines as allocations proceed; staff tracking spending deadlines

Chair Rogers and staff reviewed the status of the city's ARPA allocations. Staff said the remaining unspent balance is approximately $8.7 million, down from an earlier reported $9.3–$9.4 million, and that recent transfers (including to the affordable housing fund) are expected to further reduce the available balance to about $6.2M by some calculations.
Staff reminded the committee that eligible ARPA funds must be committed by Dec. 31 and said they are monitoring spend plans and opportunities to reallocate ARPA dollars to similar programmatic areas before the deadline. Committee members asked staff to continue reporting on ARPA balances as allocations move forward.
