A resident who said he lives across the street, Barry Hannah, told the commission he supports replacing blighted lots with raised beach homes and said the property has been vacant for a long time. "So that's basically what we want to do is just build 2 houses, raise beach homes," he said, adding that the empty lots are degrading the area and that he has discussed the issue with council members. The item was continued to the public hearing.
