McCamey ISD sets May 2, 2026 trustee election, names Hayley Abalos election administrator

The McCamey ISD Board of Trustees adopted an Order Calling a Trustee Election to be held May 2, 2026 to elect one trustee from Single Member District 2 and one trustee from At-Large Position 7, each for three-year terms. The board appointed Hayley Abalos as the Elections Administrator and Early Voting Clerk and specified candidate filing windows (Jan. 14–Feb. 13, 2026 with a 5:00 p.m. deadline on Feb. 13; write-in deadline Feb. 17 at 5:00 p.m.).
Early voting by personal appearance was scheduled for April 20–28, 2026 at the Upton County McCamey Annex Building, 108 W. 5th Street, with extended hours on April 20 and April 28 (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.). The board also approved contracting with the Upton County Elections Administrator for election services; the contract amount will be determined by the county once the election is confirmed and may be split among entities sharing the election. The motion carried as recorded in the minutes.
