Council approves master equipment lease but tables ambulance lease to seek lower rates

At its April 22 meeting the Nutter Fort Town Council approved a master equipment lease-purchase agreement identified in the minutes as #2025-03. Councilor Charlene Louk moved to enter into the lease-purchase agreement; Councilor Karen Phillips seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, a proposed lease-purchase agreement for a 2026 Ford Transit ambulance with Country Roads Leasing was presented and then tabled for at least 30 days by unanimous vote (motion by Charlene Louk, second by Karen Phillips) so the council could pursue a lower interest rate before committing to the ambulance lease. The minutes state the council is hopeful a lower interest rate will be available before the lease is needed.
