Council members reported two administrative items from the Economic Development Authority: a minor change to previously approved agreements that substituted East Bay Holding Company LLC as the named party, and a hiring decision to design a water system for the Superior National property.
"Approving an agreement with Barr Engineering, to design a water system for Superior National," a council member (S2) said, noting that the EDA sought to ensure a permanent irrigation system as part of the property's sale terms. The substitution of an entity name in an existing agreement was described as an administrative correction to name the entity actually in charge of the land.
Council members said the water-system design work is intended to remove a closing impediment and make the property sale-ready. Members did not move any additional municipal funding during the discussed remarks; the items were reported as completed EDA actions or coming back to the council as required.
