The applicant’s attorney told the board the rebuilt structure largely matched the prior footprint and was "an improvement compared to the last one." Owner testimony confirmed the building occupies approximately the same foundation with a possible one‑foot change for heavier lumber. Neighbor Joseph Clayberg, who lives next door, said he helped subdue the fire and told the board the rebuilt structure looks much nicer and he had no objections.
Following brief questions about footprint and whether permits had been pulled, the board moved to approve the requested variances with standard staff conditions. The applicant and neighbors were thanked and the board proceeded to the next case.
