The Nutter Fort Town Council approved routine items by unanimous vote at its Feb. 25 meeting. Councilor Karen Phillips moved to accept the minutes of the Feb. 11, 2025 meeting; Councilor Bryan Gonzalez seconded and the minutes were approved. Separately, accounts payable items presented via handout were approved after a motion from Councilor Rick Lafferty and a second from Councilor Karen Phillips.
Council also discussed scheduling for the municipal budget: the town was reminded the State of West Virginia’s municipal budget deadline is March 28, 2025. A budget workshop was scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Ferrari and Associates are scheduled to be on-site Friday, Feb. 28, 2025 to perform the fiscal year 2024 audit.
