Planner briefs commission on trailhead, Dinner Bell site and workforce-housing timelines

City staff provided a suite of brief updates on local planning and construction activity, including a preliminary design concept for the Dinner Bell site, commercial work on the OJ View site, and a designated parcel under consideration for a trailhead with an arts component. Staff said the project concepts are at an early stage and that more detailed entitlements would follow if projects secure funding or tax credits.
Staff also noted two workforce housing projects have applied for tax credits and, if awarded, would proceed through the full entitlement process (with potential announcements in January/early February). "Both of those, if they get tax credits, have to go through the full entitlement process," staff said. Commissioners asked about amenities such as public restrooms at the proposed trailhead and staff said such features had been included in some concept models but would be planned during detailed design and funding phases.
