EDA approves $650 sponsorship for Chambers Trick-or-Treat on Main Street

The Lindstrom Economic Development Authority voted to approve a $650 sponsorship to the Chamber of Commerce for the Chambers Trick-or-Treat on Main Street, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24 in downtown Lindstrom. Dan presented the request and said the city budgeted the expense for 2025.
"Staff is recommending approval of the $650, donation to the Chamber for Trick or Treat on Main Street," Dan said. He told the board the event historically draws about "900 to 1,000 children," and the Chamber will use the funds for candy, decorations, signage and safety supplies. The board moved, seconded and voted in favor of the donation.
Board members clarified that the donation goes to the Chamber as the events lead organizer and that many local businesses also supply candy directly. The approval was described as a routine, budgeted contribution to support a long-running community event.
