At the Sept. 8 meeting the Nebraska City Board of Education approved claims and accounts and accepted the financial report as presented.
Board member Kent Blum reviewed the bills and said they were in order; the board approved the claims (Order #17414). The minutes list the General Fund claim total as $5,533.15 and the Payroll Benefits Fund as $228,684.40. The board then approved the financial report (Order #17415); the minutes state "the current balance in the treasury being $5,217,886.47" and note that $1.3 million was moved to the Depreciation Fund at the end of the fiscal year. Brent Shanholtz reviewed revenue and cash-flow projections through the end of the calendar year and reported GMS reimbursements are the most current they have ever been.
The approvals were recorded as unanimous 9–0 votes in the minutes.
