During discussion of the streets labor position, council members asked whether the hire would bring the streets crew to full staffing; staff replied hiring would bring five workers "on the street" including the superintendent. On police wages, a council member noted, "These are step by contract. Correct?" and staff confirmed they conform to contract terms. The council uniformly approved the wage measures and recorded roll-call votes with all members present voting in favor.
