Attorney Michael Fenton and Verizon's consultants described an eligible facilities request to remove 11 of 13 existing antennas and replace them with upgraded antennas and radios for 4G and 5G service on the existing structure at Industrial Park Road (Great Boston Sand & Gravel site). They said there would be no height increase and the new equipment would be painted to match the structure.
The petitioner supplied photo simulations showing negligible visual change; the board discussed federal RF compliance and added conditions requiring the petitioner to file federal RF reports with the Inspectional Services Department within 10 business days of filing those reports federally, and to remove installed equipment if federal authorities later notify the petitioner of noncompliance. The board approved the permit with those conditions.
