Board continues contested Cambridge Street case to Oct. 10 so petitioner can consult planning bodies

The petitioner, Emmanuel (Manuel) Barrows, asked the Board to continue a complex Cambridge Street application after board members and planning staff raised significant objections in the record. Chair Jim Monteverdi suggested a continuance so the petitioner could confer with the Cambridge Planning Board and the East Cambridge planning team and attempt to resolve outstanding concerns.
The petitioner requested an Oct. 10, 2024 continuance; the board voted unanimously to continue the matter as a "case not heard" for 10/10/2024 at 6:00 p.m. Conditions of the continuance included updating the posted sign to show the new date/time, delivering a signed statutory waiver to Inspectional Services and filing any new or revised materials by 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to the continued hearing.
