Architect Allison Hammer of Hammer Design and Development told the Board the project at 50 Sacramento Street adds a window well to bring life‑safety egress, light and air to a proposed basement bedroom; on paper the change increases the 'technical' building height from 35.1 to 35.16 feet. The applicant said this is strictly a height metric change and that the proposed work otherwise conforms to zoning standards.
The board found no correspondence for or against the request, opened public comment (none), and granted special-permit relief conditioned on conformity to the drawings dated 04/15/2024. The motion carried by voice vote, recorded as five affirmative votes.
