The Brookings County Board of County Commissioners convened a special session at 8:30 a.m. July 9. Chairperson Shawn Hostler called the meeting to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Commissioner Doug Post moved and Commissioner Dave Miller seconded to approve the meeting agenda; the board voted unanimously to adopt it. During the citizen invitation portion the minutes state, "No one signed in to speak to the board." The session then moved to regular business, where the board approved Agreement #26-45 and authorized the chair to sign. Commissioner Doug Post moved to adjourn and Commissioner Kelly VanderWal seconded; all members voted "aye" and the meeting was adjourned.
The minutes indicate publication was certified by Jenna Baker, Finance Specialist, and the board noted the next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
