The agenda lists a minimum award amount of $51,600 and a maximum grant allowance of $250,000; the grant term is Jan. 1, 2027–Dec. 31, 2028.
Committee documents state the funding would expand the existing First Responder Support Team (FRST), a peer-support model at the Sheriff’s Office, and would add professional training and support available to all sheriff employees at no cost to the employee. The motion to authorize the application was made by Supervisor Becker and carried with seven ayes.
