The Fayette County Commissioners approved an amended occupancy agreement with the Department of Job and Family Services on July 20 that authorizes the department to occupy approximately 60% of the Fayette County Administration building (133 S. Main Street) from June 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
The agreement sets the fee at $18,930.73 payable in seven equal installments of $2,704.39. The lessee will provide telephone and general office support; utilities, trash hauling, and janitorial services are excluded from the fee. The agreement includes a release of liability clause for the county and a requirement that lessee employees abide by facility rules. The motion to approve the amended occupancy agreement carried on roll call (Garland aye; Anderson aye; Fleak absent).
