Lifesaving medals awarded for multiple resuscitations and emergency responses

Captain Jackson Harris presented lifesaving medals to several employees who either performed or coordinated life-saving care in the field or by phone.
For a July 16, 2025 community gathering in the Mancos Corner area, off-duty responders Lacey De Quatro, Mike Young, Sean Bowles and evidence technician Amber Blank initiated high-quality CPR, deployed an AED, and coordinated with arriving sergeant EJ Greenwood; the patient was "successfully resuscitated and transported to the hospital with a pulse," the captain said.
Deputies Gerstard Dillon and Stephanie Cherry were recognized for administering multiple doses of naloxone on 05/07/2025 to a 30-year-old with a suspected fentanyl overdose; their actions restored breathing and a pulse prior to transport. Public safety dispatcher Monica Ross received a lifesaving medal for guiding a 911 caller through CPR on 03/20/2024 and counting compressions until firefighters arrived.
Presenters emphasized that lifesaving outcomes resulted from teamwork across on-duty, off-duty, and supporting personnel.
