Woodbury County awards LEC demolition contract to lowest responsive bidder

The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors voted to award the LEC demolition contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder after staff and the county's architect reviewed 17 submissions.
Kenny Smith, building services, said the county received 17 bids and summarized them for the board. A CMBA representative told supervisors several bids were disqualified for incomplete bid bonds or blank change-order percentage lines. "At this point, it appears that Liber is the lowest responsible, responsive bid at $518,418.18," the CMBA representative said, noting that additional fill material could raise the total cost at a per-unit price of $30 per cubic yard.
Supervisors voted to receive the bid tabulation and then to award the contract to Liber Construction and authorize contract execution by digital signature. The award passed on a unanimous vote.
