Woodbury County accepts Siouxland Health amendments to tanning-facility rule

Kevin Green, director of Siouxland District Health, told the board the update was prompted by a change in the state oversight agency and by questions that arose after the 2020 rule language was adopted. "We made some modifications in the wording to make it more self explanatory," Green said, describing the edits as clarifications intended to reduce confusion for regulated operators.
The board accepted the health board's recommendation after a brief staff presentation and a motion to receive and approve the rule change. The action was procedural: the county will follow up with publication so that affected businesses and the public have full access to the amended text.
