South Cle Elum council adopts budget amendment, approves claims and excuses two members

The South Cle Elum Town Council met July 7, 2026, with Mayor DeVere presiding. Councilmembers Ditsworth, McGuire and Sandretto were present; Allenbaugh and Kasowski were excused after a motion by Ditsworth that McGuire seconded and the council approved by majority vote.
The council approved routine business including the minutes from the June 16 meeting, allowed the town’s claims, and accepted the treasurer’s disbursement report. The treasurer listed checks 9442–9452 totaling $6,226.14 and checks 9453–9469 totaling $640,843.23; listed EFTs included $3,197.88 to IRS 941 and payroll amounts such as $5,118.66 to Matt. On a motion by McGuire, seconded by Sandretto, the claims motion passed by majority vote.
Clerk Luanne presented Ordinance No. 671, a budget amendment to add Public Works Board grant and loan funds for the watermain replacement project. McGuire moved to adopt the ordinance; Ditsworth seconded and the council adopted Ordinance No. 671 by majority vote.
The meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
