Commission reappoints two members to Aging and Physical Disabilities advisory council; oath administered

The Sedgwick County commission approved resolutions reappointing Rita Sievers and Madison Schreiner to the county Advisory Council on Aging and Physical Disabilities and administered the oath to Madison Schreiner on April 2.
Justin Wagner, county counselor, asked the commission to combine items C and D and presented the recommended resolutions for reappointment. Commissioners moved and approved the reappointments by roll call. The deputy county clerk administered the oath and the appointee spoke briefly: "I just want to say thank you again for the opportunity to advocate for Senior and Disability Services," Madison Schreiner said, and described a new senior center set to open next year in Park City.
Chairman Beatty and other commissioners thanked the appointees and noted the county's interest in expanding services for seniors and people with disabilities. The reappointments are formal county actions to fill advisory positions and do not, by themselves, allocate funding.
