County accepts bids for asphalt rejuvenation and hospital commissioning totaling about $1.59 million

Lee Barry, representing the purchasing department, told commissioners the Board of Bids and Contracts (March 27 meeting) recommended accepting the low bid from Cutler Repaving Incorporated for the 2025 asphalt rejuvenation project R175 in the amount of $1,151,208.35. He also recommended accepting Keter Grama and Associates' proposal for building commissioning at the South Central Regional Mental Health Hospital for $435,870.
"Item number 1... the recommendation is to accept the bid from Cutler Repaving Incorporated in the amount of $1,151,208.35," Barry said. He also summarized the hospital commissioning recommendation and asked if commissioners had questions; none were raised and the board approved the items by roll call.
Barry said contract pricing will be established as detailed in the proposals and the purchasing department recommended approval. The board's vote authorized staff to proceed with contract execution consistent with the accepted proposals.
