Council rejects Harris Homes rezoning on traffic and site concerns

Councilman Klotz added that the grade and the amount of land work made the project impractical. After debate the clerk recorded the vote: 0 yes, 12 no, 0 abstain; Ordinance 3 failed on its first reading.
Members said the site's topography and access problems were the primary reasons for the failure, and the council took no further action on the item during the Aug. 6 session.
