The Chair read a resolution giving formal notice that the tax roll and warrant for the Village of Nassau have been left for collection and that taxes will be received at the Village Municipal Building, 40 Malden Street. “Notice is hereby given that the tax roll and warrant for the village of Nassau, New York has been left with me for collection,” the Chair read.
The resolution sets the collection window as June 1 through June 30, 2025, without additional charge, and states that all unpaid taxes after June 30 will incur a 5% penalty for the first month and 1% for each month thereafter; unpaid taxes remaining by Oct. 31 will be turned over to Rensselaer County for collection. The board moved, seconded and approved the resolution on a voice vote.
The Chair posted procedural details on hours for collection (9 a.m. to noon daily, except weekends and holidays) and directed staff to post the notice as required.
