Trappe authorizes release of three Lakeside building permits, urges developer to add temporary street lighting

The Council authorized release of three building permits for properties on Lake Tahoe Drive and urged the developer to consider temporary street lighting to address public safety concerns.
Dan Deakins read an email requesting the release of three building permits (lots 146, 147 and 148) so the developer could complete that portion of Lake Tahoe Drive. Residents Mr. and Mrs. Bass told the Council that the lack of streetlights caused safety concerns and reported flooding issues. James Cook of Rauch provided an update on Well 4R and said the street could be completed in 10–12 months if work proceeds on schedule.
President Newnam moved to authorize release of the permits for 1550, 1552 and 1554 Lake Tahoe Drive and asked the developer to look into installing temporary street lighting; Commissioner Walter Chase seconded the motion and it was approved unanimously. Mr. Cook said he will research possible temporary lighting options and update the Town and residents.
