Mr. Brown, representing Scott’s United Methodist Church, requested town support for the 158th Annual Nace’s Day to be held Nov. 1 with a rain date of Nov. 8. He asked that Maple Ave and Main St be closed for the parade at 1:00 pm, and that Main St from Mulliken Lane to the red light remain closed until 4:00 pm; he also requested the use of Veteran’s Park for parking and Nace’s Park for activities.
Sgt. Aita confirmed the Sheriff’s Office will handle road closures and President Newnam said the fire department would supply barriers. The council unanimously approved the requests and offered town support for the event.
