Pumping station project delayed; Council asks for USDA proof on $80,430 inspection amendment

GMB presented an amendment to the owner–engineer agreement to provide additional full‑time inspection services that, they said, are required by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The amendment was presented as a maximum of $80,430; the amendment would be adjusted downward as services are used. Council members requested written documentation from USDA confirming that full‑time inspection is required and tabled action on the amendment until the December meeting.
No vote on the amendment was taken at the Nov. 5 meeting; Council directed staff to obtain USDA documentation before taking formal action.
