The Trappe Town Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 6-2025 on Nov. 5, 2025, changing Section 13.6 of the Trappe Town Code to establish or clarify where refuse and other waste receptacles may be placed for collection.
President Newnam read the ordinance aloud and Town Attorney Lyndsey Ryan told the Council the town left the public comment period open until the meeting and received no additional comments. Commissioner Walter Chase moved to adopt the ordinance; Commissioner Rose Potter seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The ordinance was presented as an amendment to the town code; Attorney Ryan noted the existing rule that credits for water bills are permissible only in limited circumstances, and referenced the code during related discussion earlier in the meeting. The Council did not receive public objections to the ordinance at the meeting and did not amend the proposed language.
