Lakeside expects MDE approval for wells and water tower; plans to start Well 4R Sept. 15

James Cook, representing Lakeside, told the council that Somerset Well should be on location and that work on Well 4R is scheduled to begin on Sept. 15. He said Lakeside will provide production numbers once the well is in production.
Cook also reported that Lakeside received first-round comments from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) on the water tower and wells and plans to resubmit revised plans on Sept. 9. According to the minutes, MDE advised that blending the Matawan and Piney Point aquifers could reduce fluoride levels; Lakeside expects MDE approval in December and will proceed to bidding and construction thereafter.
