President Newnam read a Fire Department flyer to the council announcing a carnival July 31 through August 2 and a parade on August 2; the flyer stated, "The parade will be held on August 2nd and Main Street will be closed during the parade." Administrator Erin Braband told the council the town street sweeper will service curbed streets on July 29. President Newnam asked the public works department to have streets prepared at least two weeks in advance of the sweeper visit.
The items were provided as communications and filed in council records; no motions or votes were recorded on the carnival or sweeper schedule. The council recorded these calendar and operations items to inform residents and to coordinate public works activity ahead of the events.
